I appreciate that taking the first step to seek counselling can be daunting. To be able to trust and confide in the therapist, it is vital for the client to have a sense of safety and to feel comfortable. A good way to start is by picking up the phone and speaking to the therapist. If I am with a client when a prospective client calls, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can. This is confidential; you do not need a referral from a doctor or GP to see a counsellor.

There is a fee for the initial consultation session, but there is no obligation to continue as we need to decide mutually if we can work together. It is a good opportunity to think about what you want from therapy and to raise any questions or concerns you have about the process.

I run my practice from a dedicated consultation room at home, providing a place of safety, comfort and privacy. It is well lit, easy to find and has adequate parking.
